Since the first day I moved to Brooklyn, I like to sit on the rooftop and look at the Williamsburg Savings Bank Tower during sunset. For a few years, I couldn’t understand my attachment to this rather mundane building. Until one summer, I saw a photograph of me as a little child, sitting on the floor, building a tower with woodblocks. The tower I built looked almost identical to the Williamsburg Savings Bank. I was surprised by how things we seem to forget still leave marks on us, like writings on a ‘mystic writing pad’.
My industrial design practice centers around creating emotionally engaging experiences through observation, reflection, exploration, and simplification. I enjoy collaborative projects and believe that diversity in thinking is essential for problem-solving.
